As a further committment to bettering the community, as well as giving a hand-up to a Casper family, the Casper Rotary Club finished in 1999, a Habitat For Humanity House. Instead of

building from the ground up, Casper Rotary agreed to renovate an older house that had been moved to a new foundation; the integrity of the structure was in doubt after the move. Casper Rotary reinforced the roof, replaced all windows, tore out all interior walls except the main bearing wall, poured the basement floor, reinforced the floor joists, placed new plumbing, completely rewired, placed new bathroom fixtures, completely redid the interior walls and ceiling, and provided front and back ingress and egress, including ramp access off the driveway.
