Gary Turner, Board Member Responsible

Four-Way Test CLP Larry Salmen, CHAIR; Roger Bailey, Charlie Peterson, Ken Stone
Work with Cache La Poudre (CLP) Junior High School in presenting the Rotary 4 Way Test and its use in daily decision making to ninth graders in their speech class. Train FCBRC members for participation in the program. Coordinate with the teacher and the members, having enough volunteers to cover our responsibility, and educate the club in the implementation of the task.


Four-Way Test – Post-Secondary
Charlie Peterson, Ed Gillette
Work with post-secondary educational institutions such as Colorado State University and Front Range Community College to present the Rotary 4 Way Test and its use to help ensure ethical practices in daily business decision making. Work involves establishment of the parameters and materials for this project, as well as setting up the schedule of volunteers, and working with the professors involved.


Student Recognition Tom Welsh, CHAIR
Recognize outstanding high school students in both traditional as well as nontraditional high schools in the Poudre School District. Work requires contact with school personnel in charge and the students that are selected by their respective schools. Lead the recognition of the student(s) at the appointed weekly club meeting and present a certificate of recognition and/or a 4 Way Test Coin, as applicable, to the student. Present a contribution from the club to the school media center in honor of the student for the purchase of books and/or other needed materials. Provide a short time for the student(s) to talk about themselves and their plans for the future.


Teacher of the Month/Teacher of the Year (Quad Club)
Jim Hightower, CHAIR; Neil Morris, Keith Huntsman
Work with and through the school district and with the quad club committee to select a worthy Teacher of the Year from those selected from each school and presented as the Teacher of the Month. Work on the program, and site and facilitate the TOY event once every 3/4? years as chair of the event. Teacher of the Month is contacted, welcomed, and introduced at the club meeting and given a gift from the club to show appreciation of ‘Service Above Self’ to the teacher.

Rotary Emergency Service Award (RESA) Ted Ray, CHAIR.
Recognizes members of the Fort Collins area emergency service providers for their contributions in making Fort Collins a quality place to live. The emergency service providers are the Fort Collins Police Services, Poudre Valley Hospital Ambulance Services, Larimer County Sheriff's Department, and Poudre Fire Authority. Twice per year, one of these agencies nominate an individual who has demonstrated:

  • Devotion to providing quality emergency services, either in a particular event or in ongoing contributions over a period of time.
  • Leadership and a positive role model for the agency
  • Involvement in community activities outside their required duties
