Clean Water for Communities in Ghana - Rotary Club of Accra East, Ghana
(MG #); Category: Health/Water
This project will provide a good and healthy source of drinking water
to four rural communities consisting of approximately 350 persons. The water
will be provided by four bore wells, one in each community, to replace the
current source of water which is a stream that gets polluted with foreign
materials and bacteria after each rain. The project, when completed, will
be handed over to a select group of residents that will be trained by the
contractor on basic pump operation and repair. Our district Ambassadorial
Scholar, Luci Storelli-Castro, will be in Ghana during this time and will
participate in the project.
