March Report: Alan asked Gab Miller, the president of CSU's Engineers Without Borders (EWB), to update the committee on the projects in El Salvador. Gab reported that in La Laguneta the wells drilled were only partially successful and so the excess funds provided for the project were used to improve the current system to provide clean water and to create a grey water system. EWB student made their fifth trip to La Lauguneta last week to do two types of geophysical testing of the site in order to find a better location to drill for water. This Matching Grant Project should be completed in the next two months.

Gab also reported that the CSU EWB chapter has proposed to the school deans to combine EWB with the CSU Global Innovation Center to form "CSU Global". Alan will put a link to this proposal on the WCS Committee web page. The link is:CSU Global

May Report: The Engineers Without Borders (EWB) team on this project is planning the actions to be taken during the summer trip to El Salvador, late July through early August. Geophysical data is being analyzed to see if there is an ideal well location. The project should be completed and a final report submitted by the end of the summer.
