WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
It
is my pleasure to welcome you to the World’s premier service organization and
one of Colorado’s best clubs. Every Rotary club has a unique personality, and
you have chosen one that combines a rich history with an enthusiasm for new
ideas.
Members
of Greeley Rotary are committed to fulfilling our motto of “Service Above
Self.” Our commitment to service is manifested in two ways: monetary support
and sweat equity. It is a standing concept that you never say no to Rotary.
There will be times when the success of a project will depend on your
contribution in conjunction with those of fellow Rotarians. At other times, your
leadership and time serving on a committee will make all the difference in
achieving a club goal.
You
have been asked to be a member of this club because we have seen your potential
and look forward to having you as a vital member of our organization. This book
will help you better understand the scope of Greeley Rotary and the options it
holds for your participation. Our
goal is to get new members involved in areas that fit their interests. In many
cases, current members will seek you out to join them on a project, but we
encourage you to enthusiastically volunteer when something strikes your
interest.
Greeley Rotary prides itself on recruiting the “best of the best.” We strive to have solid representation from diverse occupations and cultures. As a new member, we ask that you explore your knowledge of possible candidates for membership and share this opportunity with them.
