The River Trail Committee is responsible for the upkeep and review of informational posters along the Big Thompson River recreation trail between Wilson Avenue and roughly Fairgrounds Park. A central kiosk and seven additional kiosks were designed and installed to commemorate Rotary International’s Centennial in 2005. This project involves partners the City of Loveland, the Thompson School District, and Little Thompson Watershed Forum. Loveland High School environmental science students design new posters every year, and committee members review, edit, and approve the top submissions. We also assist the teacher and students in installing the new posters every spring. Members are encouraged to notice the signs as they walk and bicycle the trail, and to report any maintenance issues.
